Raksha Bandhan is a festival that is celebrated in the month of Shravan. “Raksha” which means protection and “Bandhan” means bond, so it essentially tells us about a bond which is to be protected, respected & preserved for life. This year SPM Primary School, Pune celebrated Rakshabandhan a tad differently but definetly in a unique way. Senior Inspector, Dattawady, Mr. Devidas Gheware & his team members paid a visit to the school. The children tied Rakhis on their wrist and did the traditional Aaukshan. The police team talked to children about general traffic rules & child safety. The children gave them greeting cards and sang song for the ‘Police Kakas’. A special thanks to Mr. Dharmadhikari as well as Dattawadi Police team.
Aashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated on Friday, 20th July 18. Std. 4th students participated enthusiastically in the celebration. A wonderful display of charts and ‘palkhis’ was put up.
